November, 1997. The single most important month in wrestling history. On an early November morn, an email went out to all the employees of the Envoy Corporation asking for participants in the company talent show that would benefit the United Way. Upon reading this, Gorgeous Greg (referred to as GG from this point on) stood up in his cubicle and began to have a conversation about the show with Skull Krusher (referred to as SK from this point on). GG threw out the idea of a wrestling match and SK's eyes began to sparkle with wholesome mischief. They knew they could pull it off, but others would need to be involved. Miss Claudia, who couldn't help but overhear the conversation because of the location of her cubicle, agreed to be in it as the manager of GG. Tommy "Blood & Guts" Allsup, roommate of GG, said he would officiate and Tim Ross would capture it all on video. GG and SK practiced honing their wrestling skills over the next few weeks and the match took place on November 14th, 1997. The crowd of over 200 people at the Music City Sheraton absolutely loved it. The participants received countless amounts of praise for their efforts, one of which came from the CEO of Envoy himself.

December 28, 1997. The people who were involved in the "Music City Massacre" gathered one Sunday night to watch Starcade. The anticipation of the Hogan/Sting match was reaching a fever pitch, so our lovable cast had to "relax". It was during this period of "relaxation" that the idea of creating our own wrestling league began to unfold. But there was one problem: A wrestling ring. Then it hit everyone at once, the action would be done in GG and Blood & Guts' living room, where the practices for the "Music City Massacre" had taken place. The league was christened "Extreme Indoor Wrestling".

January, 1998. GG longed for a rematch with SK. It was at this time that the final pieces for Extreme Indoor Wrestling began to fall into place. The cast had an idea to broadcast their matches on the local community access cable station. Rough diagrams were made as to the camera and sound setup, and a new member was added to the crew: Dusty. With his "tell it like it is" style of commentary, Dusty fit right in with the gang. His color commentary is unprecedented for its way of getting a point across.

February 7, 1998. The second most important date in wrestling history (see November for the most important date). The big day had finally arrived. GG and SK ran errands all afternoon to make sure they had all the essentials: masks, cookie sheets, pitchforks, etc.. One by one everyone congregated at GG and Blood & Guts' apartment. The audio/video equipment was hooked up as production was to start at eight o'clock. As luck would have it, technical difficulties delayed shooting until almost midnight. But with Hollywood Jon's band "Psycho Magnet" entertaining everyone with classic renditions of Led Zeppelin, Skid Row, Extreme, and other various rock bands from the late 80's and early 90's, the group was able to stay calm and focused and shooting finally began.

Although brief, the following was an account of how it all came to be. A few people with an idea and a vision. The future is wide open..........
